Maa Brahmacharini is the second manifestation of Goddess Durga, worshipped on Navratri Day 2. She is the goddess of tapas (austerity), penance, and single-minded devotion. She is depicted wearing white clothes, holding a japa mala (rosary) in her right hand and a kamandalu (water pot) in her left hand. She is the embodiment of the Swadhisthana Chakra and rules over Mars (Mangal).

Previous Birth: In her previous birth, Maa Brahmacharini was Goddess Parvati who performed severe penance to win Lord Shiva as her husband after Sati's self-immolation.
Tapas Power: She is the embodiment of tapas (austerity) and single-minded devotion. By worshipping her, devotees gain discipline, focus, patience and spiritual strength.
Swadhisthana Chakra: She presides over the sacral chakra, awakening creativity, emotional balance and pure devotion.
